Open your page in the app (opens in a new tab). The profile controls own your identity and social links. Design (opens in a new tab) owns the page’s appearance, and Settings (opens in a new tab) contains its URL and search details.
The page switcher remembers which page you are editing across these screens. Check the selected page before making changes.
Edit your name and bio
Select the profile title or its edit control. Use a name listeners already know and a bio that tells them what the page is for. Save the form before closing it.
A specific bio is useful: “Send a question for our next listener Q&A” gives someone a clearer task than “Leave feedback”.
Some controls save immediately; others have an explicit Save button. Follow the control’s save status. The live preview is a way to inspect an edit, not a guarantee that it has already been saved.
Choose a profile image
Select the camera badge on your profile image, then Select image. Choose a file or drag it into the upload area. A clear show logo or portrait works well at small sizes. Once the upload finishes, check the result in the preview.
Update social links
Open the profile links editor to add, edit, reorder, or remove links. Replace the starting placeholder destinations with your real profiles, or remove the links you do not need.
Test each destination from the public page after saving. To edit the address listeners use to reach you on whatayarn, see Change your page URL. Social links are the destinations behind the icons on your page.
Adjust the design
Open Design (opens in a new tab) to change the page, social-link, and recorder colours. Creator unlocks page colour customization. Choose a colour to preview it, then close the colour picker to save. Keep text and controls easy to distinguish from their backgrounds, and check the mobile preview as well as the desktop layout.
The wording around recording and sending belongs to the page editor’s flow sections. Changing colours does not replace that copy or the fields in your send form.
Change your page URL
Your page URL is the public address listeners use to send recordings, such as whatayarn.com/your-show. Editing your page name, bio, or social links does not change this address.
Custom URLs require Creator. The generated address works on Free.
- Open your page (opens in a new tab) and check the selected page in the switcher.
- Open Share, then choose Edit URL. You can also open Settings (opens in a new tab) and find Page URL under General.
- Edit the part after
whatayarn.com/. Use 3–50 characters: lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens. - Select Save URL and wait for URL saved. If the address is already taken, choose another. Your current address stays active until the change saves successfully; Cancel discards an unsaved edit.
What changes when you save
- The new address opens the same page. Your profile, settings, and existing messages are preserved.
- Old links do not redirect to the new address. The previous address no longer leads to your page and is not kept as an alias.
- Previously shared QR codes and website embeds still contain the old address. Saving a new URL does not update those copies.
After you change your URL
- Reopen Share, copy the new link, and test the destination.
- Replace the old address in episode show notes, social profiles, newsletters, website buttons, and episode templates.
- Download fresh QR codes from Share and replace printed or displayed copies. Copy the new Embed code for any website where you embedded the page.
Once those are updated, return to Share your link to plan your next invitation.
Update your search appearance
Open Search appearance from Share, or go to Settings (opens in a new tab) and find SEO under Discovery. Creator lets you edit the Meta title and Meta description used for search and link previews. These fields change the page’s presentation; they do not change its URL.
