On Creator, open your form’s Settings and find Access. Saving a change updates the live link and embeds immediately. On either plan, use Accepting responses to pause a form manually.
If you move to Free, existing restrictions stay in effect. You can turn them off individually. You need Creator to set them up again, change them, reveal or copy a password, or duplicate a form that still has restrictions.
Require a password
Turn on Password, enter a password and choose Save password. Share the password with the people you invite. They’ll need it to see the questions. You can open your own form without it while signed in.
Once saved, the password appears masked in Settings. Choose Show to read it and Hide to mask it again. Copy works even while the password is hidden. Choose Change to replace it. If you set the password before Show and Copy were available, save it again to enable them. Visitors who already opened the form will need the new password. Turn Password off to let anyone with the link open the form again.
Schedule an opening time
Turn on Open on a date, pick a day and set the local opening time. Choose Apply to save. You can share the link in advance. Visitors see when responses open.
Opening and closing times can be set independently. When you set both, the opening must come before the closing time. Clicking outside the picker keeps your selection. Choose Cancel to discard it.
Close at a deadline or response limit
Turn on Close on a date, pick a day on the calendar and set the local closing time. Choose Apply to save it. If the clocks go back and the same time occurs twice, the form closes at the first occurrence.
Turn on Limit responses and enter the maximum number of completed responses. The count covers every published version. Partial responses only count when submitted. Deleting a completed response frees a place.
With both rules on, whichever happens first closes the form. To reopen it, move or remove the deadline and make sure there’s room under the limit. The opening time must have arrived and Accepting responses must also be on.
Allow one response per browser
Turn on One response per browser to limit repeat submissions without asking people to sign in. After someone submits, opening the form in the same browser shows that they’ve already responded.
This setting relies on site storage. People who share a browser profile share one response. Someone using another device, a different browser, private browsing or cleared site data can respond again.
